Artist Workshops

2019-2026

Akbank Sanat, Online, January 2026

This workshop places improvisation and collaboration at the core of image-making and speculative world-building as ways to rethink the relationship between feminism and nature. Working with video, photography, and performance, participants engage in intuitive, experimental, and collective processes in which images are produced through shared, responsive, and relational practices. Within these processes, improvisation and collaboration function both as artistic methods and as political positions. Together, participants reflect on and create alternative worlds where ecological dynamics intersect with women-centred narratives.

Goethe Institute, March 2025

A participatory workshop held at the Goethe-Institut London in response to Seat #12, a kinetic sculpture by Jenny Brockmann.

Co-designed with practitioner Gülce Tulçalı and Goldsmiths researcher Dr Jacob Mukherjee, the session invited participants to reflect on spatial and social dynamics, power structures and collective agency.

RCA x CCA Residency,  Present Archive, July 2025

The Present Archive Residency through audience participation workshops

A curatorial project developed with Artangel revisiting the socio-cultural legacy of Jeremy Deller’s The Battle of Orgreave (2001) by RCA CCA students. The exhibition explored how archival voices resurface in contemporary contexts, questioning how narratives return transformed by time, amplified or disrupted.

New commissions included Phoebe Davies’s Farm Hand, a moving image and print installation reflecting on agricultural labour and generational knowledge in the Welsh lowlands, and Gülce Tulçalı’s Present Archive, a participatory work inviting audiences to engage with a curated audio archive including testimonies about the National Miners' Strikes of the 1980s. A podcast with Matshidiso (Holding Up the Ladder) further extended the project’s discursive strands.
